Configure NTP Server

Install NTPd and Configure NTP server for time adjustment. NTP uses 123/UDP.
[1] Install NTPd.
dlp:~ #
zypper -n install ntp
[2] Configure NTP.

vi /etc/ntp.conf
# line 38: add servers for synchronization (replace to your timezone's one)

server ntp1.jst.mfeed.ad.jp iburst
server ntp2.jst.mfeed.ad.jp iburst
server ntp3.jst.mfeed.ad.jp iburst
# line 70: add the network range you allow to receive requests

restrict 10.0.0.0 mask 255.255.255.0 notrust

/etc/init.d/ntp start

Starting network time protocol daemon (NTPD)

chkconfig ntp on
